There are few hundred people, I'd say not more than 300-400 max. Most of them would have come from Southern Leana, particularly Fìon Lann and Manadail and a few more from Northern Leana, mostly Thuinn.
I should note that about 50-75 or so people decided to head back south or join up with Leathann. The rest of the people who decided to stay up north may not a.) be super happy about going back in time, so they might need Kirei's guidance and b.) are more used to open farming land, so this is a new environment for them.
And yes! You can definitely do that. Anyone from Fìon Lann in particular would be very amicable and wanting to help build a shrine towards it. (That village in and of itself was very pro-Void, while the others were mixed or were afraid of it.)
